Urbitecture’s recent involvement into municipal and cultural design has yield quick results. In 2009, Urbitecture received a Masterworks in Masonry award from the Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute for the design of the South Adams County Fire Station #7. Urbitecture has also helped community organizations develop visions, plans, and community development strategies. Whether evaluating reuse options for an existing structure, or constructing a new facility, Urbitecture provides essential information and strategies necessary in determining the most successful and cost-effective design options.

“Our station 7 is a beautiful structure that will be a community landmark for years to come. The operational features, low building maintenance, and energy efficiency of the station will make it the best station we have. I wish we had utilized the Urbitecture firm on all of our projects. We would have saved a lot of the taxpayer’s money and had better facilities. “

The 4,824 square foot structure has two back-in bays which open to sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains. Also programmed are five dormitories, kitchen, living quarters, exercise room, offices, and vestibule museum. Station #7 is designed in a vernacular style that recalls the western heritage of our State and the traditions of firefighters of the past. |
